We’ve Moved!

Due to the downtown renovations, we have been forced to relocate our business. We have settled into a spot in the Olive Avenue area, near Merced High School. We are very happy with our new location, a newer building, and have also been able to update our look. Come visit us in the same shopping center as Bagel Tyme. Our new address is 3040 Park Avenue, Suite A.

We still host D+D games and other events. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated.

We are also happy to announce that we offer discounts to subscription holders. If you have ever thought about subscribing to comic titles, special ordering graphic novels as they are announced, pre-ordering POP vinyls so that you never miss out, or ordering from the PREVIEWS catalog, and therefore getting the scoop on all the books, toys and games that are coming out in the future, you should come talk to us about what it takes to get a subscription box! You may be eligible for discounts. Let’s talk!

Thanks for supporting local business. It is vital to our community. Have a great day!

IN-STORE CREATOR SIGNING

Contemporary illustrator and comics creator MALACHI WARD will be in our store Sunday, May 15th. He will have beautiful, limited edition prints and original artwork for sale. Or, just come in for an autograph on one of his comics, and talk about art making.  Join us!tumblr_o5v1ricm4M1rth6jao1_1280

Art Hop was amazing

Well, personally, I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this winter’s Art Hop, held on 1/16/16. A favorite painter and ‘zine artist John Thomason came down to do some live painting and sketching. We painted our faces and painted some kid’s faces. Great time, as usual! Art Hop is held quarterly throughout the downtown area. See their facebook for details. -Elaine

Central Valley Con

We were excited and impressed with the crowds at the first ever Central Valley Con this weekend! Lots of friendly vendors, a wrestling ring (!), lots of game rooms downstairs, a separate Artist’s Alley with some great talents, some snacks available and some actually dang good coffee (which makes my day extra happy). Modesto came out in force with some great cosplayers, too. And overall a really friendly vibe! I recommend this con a lot! -Elaine

Pictures of Superhero Craft Day

Our second craft day was a big success. Our first one was on Halloween. These pictures are from last week, where kids got kitted out in awesome gauntlets and masks and capes. Follow us on our Facebook page to stay up to date on all our in-store events.

Next up is our Star Wars/Holiday party on December 19th, 2015. Hope to see you there.

DEMO DAY and Pathfinder Game Day

A lot of fun was had last weekend at our DEMO DAY: where we try out the newest in board gaming. We also ran a Pathfinder RPG game on the same day. Lots of enemies were vanquished, also lots of friends made. Come join us on our next DEMO DAY, later this month, exact date TBA. Stay in touch via our facebook page, or the google calendar on this site, for event announcements!

Thanks for looking!
